Sweet Deal

I know it has been a while since I last had the chance to blog, so I just want to start off by saying I'm sorry!

It's not that I haven't had the chance to bake in a while, or that I've forgotten about you. It's not that I've given up on baking, or that I don't like blogging anymore, because trust me, I've been meaning to blog for a while now...

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm sorry for keeping this exciting news from you for so long...

I got a job!

A job! Crazy, I know. Who knew I could manage to get a job at the cutest little cupcake & candy shop in Charlottesville, but ah! I am in love!

About a month ago, I got a job working at SweetHaus Cupcake & Candy Shop located on West Main Street near the downtown mall in Charlottesville. It's the cutest little shop full of candy, all kinds of sweet treats, cake pops, and most importantly, cupcakes! And these are no ordinary cupcakes. They are addicting. Don't say I didn't warn you. (I think it's the frosting.)

Not only do I feel so lucky to work in a bakery and get the chance to frost, mix, and talk with people all day, but Tara (the owner) trusts me with making these...

Cake Pops!

Any and all kinds of these little guys. These are chicks and hens! (aka mommies & babies haha.) It has been so fun coming up with cake pop ideas, and it's only been 4 weeks! Let's see how I feel about this in 4 months... probably the same way! haha, but I'm not kidding.

I am absolutely in love with my job and feel like it's a dream. If you're ever in the mood for a sweet treat, definitely stop by SweetHaus! If it's for a dozen or just one cupcake, custom order or whatever's available, I promise you'll want to come back for another! :)
