Butterscotch Banana Bread
Banana bread + butterscotch chips = yummmyy.
I cannot take credit for this. My sister was the first one to make butterscotch banana bread at my house, and it really is amazing. You must try it.
Banana bread is a type of quick bread, and quick bread is something that is super easy to make. Since there is no yeast, there's no worry about making sure the bread rises properly, or making sure it sits out for however many hours before you can bake, and so on. All you do is follow the recipe, mix the ingredients together, stick it in the oven, and bam, it's done.
It seems really easy, and usually always pretty much is, except for today. For whatever reason, I cannot bake today. Because of this, me and the oven are not friends at the moment. I don't know what I did to it, but today it just decided not to cook the middle of the banana bread. It's not a big deal, really, because the banana bread was for no reason or anything, but when my sister went to go get a slice, she needed a spoon rather than a knife. Oops.
Oh well. Baking is not perfect. All that matters is that the bread still tasted amazing, and even though it was a little mushy in the middle, it was still eaten :)
Banana bread is something my mom has always made, and when I was little, I remember getting really excited when she would add chocolate chips. Banana bread tastes good with chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, nuts, or just plain by itself. It is the best to make for breakfast, brunch, afternoon snack, and even dessert. It is my favorite type of bread, and comes in a close second for being my favorite treat to eat. Oatmeal scotchies are still my #1.
I really recommend trying this butterscotch banana bread recipe because it is so good! Hope you like it!
