10,000! Ah I CAN'T believe it!!!!
This is crazy. I can't believe my blog has been viewed so many times, and by so many different viewers!!!
I seriously just want to say Thanks to ALL OF YOU who follow to this blog for recipes, to read the posts, or just look at the pictures :). I get so excited every time someone tells me they follow my blog, or knows someone that does; it just makes me want to run back to my oven and bake something for a new post! haha. But seriously. I'm not kidding.
To say thanks to ALL OF YOU, I have TWO recipes for you today!
Yesterday, Abby, one of my best friends since middle school, came over and baked with me! We didn't just make one thing, either... but two! Wooh! haha.
We started by making Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, and they seriously were some of the simplest cookies I have ever made. Abby and I were in shock that there were only 7 ingredients, with no butter! What makes it even better, they took less than an hour to make. And they're delicious :). So peanut buttery and soft. Chocolatey too!
Here's the recipe!
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
1 cup peanut butter (we used creamy)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1/4 cup all-purpose Flour
1 cup chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 325F.
Combine PB, sugars, and baking soda in a large bowl.
Mix in eggs, one at a time.
Add flour.
Add chocolate chips.
Drop in 1-in balls on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for about 10 minutes.
*Recipe adapted from The Curvy Carrot
After the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, we decided to bake brownie bites. We found a recipe on The Kitchenarian and the pictures made these brownies look delicious.
So we decided to try them :)
These little guys weren't as easy to make as the cookies (more labor intensive), but they were worth it! The process takes a little bit longer, seeing as you have to bake the brownies first, then crumble, refrigerate, and dip in chocolate. They're pretty tasty though :)
Abby and I started by baking brownies from scratch, so I've attached the recipe we used. If you'd like, however, The Kitchenarian suggests using Pillsbury Brownie Mix. Either work!
Here's the recipe! Enjoy!
Brownie Bites
Ingredients for Brownie Bites
Brownies in 8x8x2in pan
8-10 ounces chocolate chips (almost entire bag, but not quite)
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. butter
Ingredients for Brownies
1/2 cup + 2tbsp. butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
6 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Directions
Preheat oven to 325F.
Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla.
Beat in eggs.
Mix in cocoa and flour.
Bake in a greased 8x8x2in pan for about 28 min (want brownies to be slightly undercooked).
After brownies are baked, allow to cool slightly.
While still warm, cut away edges and cut cooked brownie into pieces.
Roll into balls (whatever size you desire) and place on a large cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil (easier to clean up!).
Allow bites to cool (we put ours in the fridge for about 20 min!) and begin melting chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in a heavy saucepan over low heat.
Add vanilla and butter into saucepan; mix.
Once brownie bites have cooled and chocolate mixture is ready, dip bites into chocolate using a fork.
Place dipped bite back on the cookie sheet, and repeat until all bites have been dipped.
Decorate as you wish (with sprinkles!), and place back in fridge until chocolate has hardened.
Thank you guys SO MUCH AGAIN for supporting me with this blog. I love you all and enjoy the recipes!!
